Thank you for keeping us in your prayers.

Church planting with the Quechua people of the Cotahuasi Canyon

Our Family:
Throughout the next month and a half we are continuing to travel, visiting families and churches - our College Park Church family helping us with a home base and preparation for returning to Peru. We travel to Peru on January 5th.
  • Please pray for continuing traveling mercies, safely, and good functioning of the vehicle. The van is older.
We give thanks for the provision of a vehicle for traveling while in the States.
  • Please pray for restful and encouraging times with our families, especially with Brad's mom, his brother and family, and Gina's parents.  We don't get the privilege to see them often and so these times will be extra           special over Thanksgiving and Christmas time this year.
  • Please pray for Janelle and her studies in biblical counseling. She has many challenges entering a time oriented culture after living in Peru!  Praise the Lord for His provision through various friends who have donated toward her school tuition and fees to enable her to continue              studying. Let's pray for the Lord to give Janelle many opportunities to bring Him glory through helping others trust and obey Him, as she applies her education in the future.
  • We give thanks for the Lord's provision through friends who are helping Janelle with her schooling.  Please pray for complete provision for her costs for tuition and room and board while at school, this next semester.

Youth Ministry Home:
For the special ministry in Cotahuasi (coat-a-wa'-see) called the Youth Ministry Home
  •        Please pray for Alberto and Soila Copa, (the house parents responsible for the boys youth home (named "Grace House").   Pray for their health, stamina, and wisdom as they seek to love, speak truth, correct, and train in righteousness, caring for 15 young men staying with them as they study in the local secondary school.
  •        Praise the Lord for His help to Alberto and Soila and renewed vision and commitment they feel for the next year's work.  Pray for the growth of this ministry to include a girls home and God's calling of another pair of qualified house parents to minister to them.
  •        Pray for provision of sponsors for the home and for each boy and girl.   Please pray for increased financial provision for the homes and sponsorships to fully meet the needs.

Quechua leadership:
  •        Please pray for wisdom, perseverance, patience, safety and provision for each of these
precious brothers and sisters ministering to the Quechua people of the Canyon.
Fredy, Santiago, Alberto Cusi, Jeremias, Lorenzo, Faustino, Rosa,
Alfonzo, Joel, Alberto and Soila Copa, Victor, Paty, Isidoro.

Radio Ministry
  •        Please pray for the Lord's protection and help as the bothers manage the electronics, mechanical parts, generators and computers to keep functioning well, and the ability of Fredy to correct any problems that come up time to time.
  •        Please pray for wisdom, faith, and love for Fredy and Jeremias as they work in the radio ministry.
  •        Please pray for the continued financial provision for Radio Ministry and training for Jeremias as he travels to Ecuador in late November and early December for important program production training with HCJB
  •        Pray for Santiago and Saturnina his wife's health and their daughter currently studying nursing in Arequipa.

Health for the Shaws
  •        Brad's left knee has been evaluated and it can wait, but it appears that he has a torn meniscus in his left knee that may need repair in the future.

Future team members
  •        Pray for God's leading for those who are praying about how to participate in reaching the Quechua people of the Cotahuasi Canyon, that they would trust and obey Him in going, giving and praying, as the Lord leads them.
  • Pray for faith and confidence in scripture, such that new team members will serve in unity with the Quechua brothers, missionaries, and established biblical doctrine with grounds the local churches.

Wisdom
  •        Pray for the leading of God and wisdom of how to proceed in economic development projects in support of the ministries in Cotahuasi, such as marketing of Quechua crafts items, fish farming, and other farming.

Thank you!
